In today’s litigious environment, organizations involved in legal proceedings often are subject to obligations to produce and exchange documents that may exist only in electronic form — a process known as eDiscovery. Failure to do so in a timely manner and in acceptable formats can result in fines and other financial and legal burdens. Without the ability to perform comprehensive eDiscovery within e-mail, some companies are forced to settle legal disputes out of court because they are simply unable to ascertain if the case in question has merit since they cannot readily locate e-mail. IBM Content Collector (f/k/a, CommonStore for Lotus Domino) gives companies the flexibility to retain data as needed by the business and legal department, with the option to set different policies for different groups of employees. Workgroup Connections, an IBM Premier Business Partner, will demonstrate how IBM Content Collector functions, the architecture behind it and installations examples. You will see a solution that enables organizations to enhance the IBM Lotus Notes environment by eliminating the need for local e-mail archives and by bringing that data into IBM's secure repository to be managed by the organization's retention polices. This powerful combination enables legal staff to access information via a secure environment using a web browser interface.
